Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass is Lana Del Rey’s debut poetry collection and a New York Times bestseller. It gathers more than thirty poems, many written exclusively for the book, in a collection she describes as “eclectic and honest and not trying to be anything other than what they are.”
Some poems arrived fully formed; others took shape word by word. Keep it by your favorite reading chair to spend time with a poem or two, or give it to someone who enjoys contemporary poetry and Lana Del Rey’s writing.
