Our Sustainability Practices

Our store is committed to supporting sustainable practices by thoughtfully choosing the products and brands we carry. We prioritize sourcing from small makers and independent artisans who use handmade, low-impact, and small-batch production methods whenever possible. By supporting these makers, we help promote craftsmanship, reduce mass production waste, and encourage more sustainable ways of creating everyday goods. Alongside locally and independently made products, we also carry practical items that help customers live more sustainably, including gardening supplies, reusable bags and baskets, and compost bins designed to reduce household waste.

We also believe sustainability is about education and community involvement. Through workshops and classes, we encourage people to learn how to make their own goods and foods, helping build skills that support self-sufficiency and reduce unnecessary consumption. When working with larger brands, we make an effort to partner with companies that share our values, including brands like Patagonia and Finisterre. In our own operations, we reuse shipping boxes and packaging materials from incoming deliveries for our online orders whenever possible, helping reduce waste and extend the life of materials already in circulation.
