ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Betzhi Walton has been painting, drawing, printmaking, beading and creating since she could hold a pencil. Because she was homeschooled from kindergarten to college she had endless hours and opportunity to express herself artistically. She holds a BFA and most recently has been focusing the majority of her creative energy on painting.
Lori Moore has been making art for half a century and teaching others for nearly that long. From block printing on fabric to embroidered portraits, and interpreting the natural world in watercolor, Lori sees the world through the lens of the visual artist. She taught art locally at Crane school in Montecito and also privately here in Santa Barbara.
Together mother and daughter have collaborated on everything from a hand embroidered line of children's clothes, 10 foot tall paper butterflies, shibori dyeing workshops and most recently over 300 ceramic birds for an installation. Small flocks of these birds can be found at most of the Heritage Goods locations.
