About the Instructors
Betzhi Walton has been painting, drawing, printmaking, beading, and creating since she could hold a pencil. Homeschooled from kindergarten through college, she had endless opportunities to explore her creativity. A graduate with a BFA, Betzhi now dedicates most of her artistic energy to painting.
Lori Moore has been making art for over fifty years and teaching others for nearly as long. From block printing and embroidered portraits to watercolor interpretations of the natural world, Lori approaches life through the eyes of a visual artist. She has taught art locally at Crane Country Day School in Montecito and privately in Santa Barbara.
Together, this mother-daughter duo has collaborated on countless creative projects—from a hand-embroidered line of children’s clothing and 10-foot paper butterflies to shibori dyeing workshops and over 300 ceramic birds created for an art installation. Small flocks of these ceramic birds can be found at most Heritage Goods & Supply locations.
