The Lacewing + Maslina Ranch Olive Oil Mocktail

Out and about in the Santa Barbara area, I recently stumbled upon Tilden, a non-alcoholic, ready to serve cocktail, locally founded by two Harvard grad women.  I was intrigued, tried the libations and loved the unique flavor profiles and the fact that the cocktails were not loaded with added sugars and fillers.

Tilden has two varieties: The Lacewing and the Tandem. The Lacewing is light and refreshing with little bit of kick at the finish due to the szechuan and cayenne and the Tandem is richer with its warm and smokey vibes.

With a passion for supporting local artisans, Heritage Goods and Supply recently became a stockist and although Tilden is billed as ready to serve I couldn’t help wanting to create a mocktail.

So I started thinking and experimenting. Since we just recently also started carrying the most fabulous family owned and operated olive oil from Maslina Ranch I wondered what it might be like if I combined the two?

For this mocktail I played with the idea of adding fresh citrus (loaded with immune boosting vitamin C) and quality olive oil (a heart healthy fat) to Tilden’s Lacewing. Tilden’s herbaceous and light Lacewing with hints of basil and cucumber and Maslina Ranch’s Olive Oil that boasts bright and grassy notes with a peppery finish seemed like a match made in heaven. And it is. The result is a refreshing mocktail that I think is a perfect spring to summer sipper.
