16 oz (2 cups) Fresh organic cranberries, rinsed, well-drained and pierced with a fork
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
4 -5 slices ginger
1 Cinnamon stick
¼ teaspoons Cloves
1 Orange, juiced and zested
Pinch salt
Seltzer water
Bourbon or alcohol or choice

INSTRUCTIONS:
For the Shrub
Combine cranberries, sugar, ginger, cinnamon stick, cloves, orange juice and zest and salt in a saucepan, bring to a low simmer, stirring on low until cranberries pop and release juices, about 10 minutes.
Take off heat and let cool. Add apple cider vinegar and transfer to vessel of choice. Let sit for 24 hours. Keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

For the Cocktail
For each cocktail, fill a small cocktail glass with ice. Stir in 1/4 cup bourbon or alcohol of choice, 2 tablespoons seltzer water, and 2 tablespoons shrub liquid. Add 1 tablespoon of the shrub cranberries; serve. For added fun add a cinnamon stick and orange peel in each glass. Fun! And oh, enjoy!

For the Mock-tail
For each mock-tail, add 2 tablespoons  of the cranberry shrub with sparkling water, and drop in a couple of the shrub cranberries.

Enjoy!
